About me
Bettina Williams (she/her) is the Program Director, Curriculum Development & Program Credentials, in the Emergency Management Division at the Justice Institute of British Columbia (JIBC). Her work is grounded in a strong commitment to public safety, community resilience, and collaborative learning.
With more than three decades of experience, spanning volunteer fire dispatch, local authority administration, emergency management program development, and academic leadership, Bettina brings a practice and partnership informed perspective to education and research. She is passionate about working alongside communities, practitioners, and institutions to strengthen capacity and support resilient, locally driven emergency management.
Bettina holds a Master of Arts in Disaster and Emergency Management from Royal Roads University, a Diploma in Tourism Marketing Management from BCIT, and certificates from JIBC. And she loves to paint!
