About me
Amanda Sobierajski is a member of Alberta Emergency Management Agency’s Be Prepared team, having joined in the fall of 2024. Amanda comes to this work naturally, having held various preparedness, operations and operations management roles on the Canadian Red Cross’ national team over her more than 5 years there. As the National Technical Lead for the Corrections Epidemic Prevention and Control project, Amanda led a diverse team of professionals supporting COVID19 response across Canada; and served on the Advance and Operational teams for CRC's first scale operations in the Northwest Territories – among others. Amanda holds a Master of Public Health, a BSc in Psychology and Biology and speaks French and Spanish.
